Towards a Regional Planning Strategy for Northern Tasmania The Tasmanian Government is funding the preparation of regionally consistent planning schemes across the state. This is being delivered for the northern region by Northern Tasmania Development in partnership with all eight local councils. We are seeking community input into this project, firstly on the development of a regional strategy and secondly into a new planning scheme for each Council area. To aid the consultation process a draft policy framework and discussion paper has been prepared.
